Why did you decide to sponsor She+ Geeks Out?
Hudl sits right at the intersection of two male-dominated industries — sports and technology — yet we have plenty of women who love working here because we’re a great product company. We think it’s important for Hudl to contribute to the community of women working in male-dominated industries because we know first hand how awesome it is to be a woman in these fields. We think we have a lot to share and also a lot to learn, and She+ Geeks Out is a wonderful way for us to get involved.
What has your SGO experience been like?
The She+ Geeks Out team has been fun and easy to work with. The topics other companies have covered have been compelling and our team says the networking is invaluable.
Have you received any feedback from your employees about the company’s involvement with SGO?
Hudl is super pumped to be partners and sponsors. Being a strong company that every gender is proud to work at is a priority for us so the feedback has been super positive.
How do you see Boston/Cambridge as an important community for supporting women in tech?
Hudl purposely set up a shop in Boston so that we could become a part of this influential community. Pairing up all of these crazy good schools with all of these smart companies in the same city is bound to be a win. Gender shouldn’t be an issue when it comes to picking an industry or company you want to work in and Boston can be a leader there.
