Train the Trainer Program

You're looking to gain the knowledge and skills in-house to train staff on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, but aren’t sure what the best approach is. Our Train the Trainer Program will help your team not only learn the skills necessary for training your staff on these complex topics, but will also assess whether the right people are in the room to facilitate. This multi-day training consists of meetings, homework, in-person facilitation practice, and a final assessment. Your investment in this program will set your team up for success in ensuring the skills and knowledge are there to support your team on an ongoing basis.

Program Overview

This in-depth multi-day program will include working with you to tailor a program for your specific needs, a deep dive into the foundations of diversity, equity, and inclusion, including discussions on how power and privilege show up in the workplace, understanding how unconscious bias affects all of us, and ways we can be effective in having difficult and brave conversations on race, gender, and more. Participants will be able to practice facilitating in a safe environment and debrief with each other.

Audience:

We recommend that those who are already skilled in basic facilitation and who are comfortable with public speaking participate. Those that are successful in this program will approach this work with an open mind and limited judgment of where others are in their journey toward understanding the complexities of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
