Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWorkshop

March 26 @ 1:00 pm 4:00 pm

Join us for our newest workshop, Centering Wellness for DEI Changemakers in the Workplace. We’ll use somatics and embodiment (exercises that connect your body and mind) to help you navigate the burnout that can happen when doing the critical work of supporting a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Through interactive discussions and practical strategies, you’ll leave equipped with skills designed to support your whole self, ensuring your efforts aren’t only impactful but sustainable while driving authentic and profound organizational change. This workshop is for those who need emotional support, connection, and a recharge!

Using a holistic and healing approach, during this workshop, you’ll:

  • Discuss your personal and collective vision for equitable and inclusive workplaces
  • Gain insights into how your nervous system responds to everyday DEI-related stressors and have the opportunity to reflect on somatic practices and strategies that may be impactful in the short and long-term
  • Find ways to incorporate practices and strategies during challenging and non-challenging moments

If finances are a barrier to you participating in this workshop, there are options available!

  • If you are an employee of a Massachusetts company/organization, you may be eligible for the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Express Program. Information on how to apply can be found here. Please note that this grant requires a 21-day lead time.
  • If you are ineligible to receive the Massachusetts Workforce Training Grant funds, please submit our Financial Assistance Form, and a member of our team will be in touch.

About the Facilitator:

Fatima Dainkeh (fah-team-ah, dane-kay) is the Director of Training at She+ Geeks Out, where she specializes in topics related to systems of oppression, change management, and liberatory practices. Fatima has facilitated conversations and conducted trainings for students, leaders, organizations, and companies to help raise equity consciousness and provide knowledge, tips, and strategies to support individual and institutional change. She believes in the power of openness and storytelling, which she uses as tools for individuals and groups to connect and witness different perspectives and realities. With a background in religious studies, anthropology, public health, and somatics, her goal is to create a brave space where we can use our inner and collective wisdom to create positive shifts and, ultimately, change in our workplaces and beyond.
