Become a She+ Geeks Out Ambassador

Join the group of incredible women+ who dedicate their time and energy to making She+ Geeks Out the geeky, exuberant, passionate community you know us to be! 

  • Shout our name from the rooftops, espousing all that is good and lovely about She+ Geeks Out.
  • Serve as the advisory board for She+ Geeks Out. You’re responsible for providing feedback on existing programs, new programs, and new initiatives that will serve the Rise Together Community.
  • Support our events (either in-person or online) by engaging with our community, introducing community members to the space, and so much more.

How will we support you?

  • We’re committed to providing professional development opportunities to the Ambassadors through discounts on SGO programming.
  • Ambassador opinions have weight in determining the content and timing of our new programs through beta testing opportunities.
  • We offer fun quarterly meetings where Ambassadors get the inside scoop on all things SGO and help influence the future of SGO offerings.
  • Recognition through a “Meet the SGO Ambassadors” page on the SGO Website. 
  • Exclusive merch items just for being an Ambassador because we cannot do the work we do without you! 

Expectations

We know it’s hard to commit to things these days, there’s a lot happening, so we really appreciate your passion for making this community the very best it can be! Here’s what we’ll be asking of you while you’re an SGO Ambassador:

Overall Expectations

  • Two-year commitment with the option to re-apply after two years is up
  • Attend mandatory quarterly meetings to check in and pulse check. giving space to provide feedback and insight
  • Monthly meetings will also be available as more of an informal check-in and chat opportunity
  • Serve as an Advisory Board to SGO, giving feedback on new programs, content, and initiatives that support Rise Together
  • Participate in test runs for new programs
  • Share referral links in Eventbrite for paid programs and get a kickback for programs that you’re interested in
  • Engage with and share SGO content in your networks (LinkedIn & Instagram)
Opportunities for Engagement as an Ambassador:
  • Share SGO programs with your networks
  • Support all virtual SGO webinars, Happy Hours, Geek Outs, and/or panels
  • Participate in the chat and/or help with marketing for virtual events
  • Help with registration, mingling, or marketing for in-person events
  • Support the SGO virtual summit
  • Encourage people to join Mighty Networks and participate in conversations or join different spaces within the platform
  • Welcome new members into the Mighty Networks platform
  • Support the SGO Content Club (where we meet to chat about books, podcasts, or other media pieces)
